- Recognize your pride. Benjamin Franklin observed, "Not one of our natural passions is harder to subdue than pride. Even if I could conceive that I had completely overcome it, I should probably be proud of my humility."
- Express gratitude often. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you'll never have enough. If you focus on what you have, you will always see that the universe is abundant and you'll have more.
- Learn to laugh at yourself. The Chinese proverb says, "Blessed are they that laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to be entertained." "
